Field Trip #19 – Enchanted Rock

As our official guide and handbook announced to us, this trip falls outside the self-imposed distance parameters for hikes around the Austin area; however, this area is just too good, too beautiful to pass up.  Our guide was correct.  The early April breeze and sun was a refreshing mix of heat and coolness.  The hikes, though difficult in places, were satisfyingly simple and ended in majestic beauty.
