So, we just can’t exhaust the bounty of the Austin Area Parks.  Emma Long Park is another of the local Austin parks that gets little notice by the larger community.  Perhaps, this is reasonable because the acreage is fairly limited at 1,142 acres.

However, Emma Long Park is a wonderful hideaway while remaining in the suburban heart of Austin.  Located on Ladybird Lake (Lake Austin), the water is typically very comfortable in Spring, Summer, or Fall.  There is space for the kids to play or they can choose to fish.  There are volleyball and basketball courts, and of course, plenty of spots to picnic.
