Field Trip #2 – Bull Creek

Bull Creek – an adventure

Can you believe we can have this kind of fun when almost in downtown Austin? This site is representative of the types of “Green” areas reserved all throughout the city of Austin, Travis county, and the greater Austin area. The Bull Creek Watershed is a fairly extensive area covering hundreds of acres and many miles. We only managed to hike a few miles along the creek itself, however the adventure was rich and exciting. Just check out the pictures below.

We’re off again.

Cascades on Bull Creek. Time to swim!

Now we’re getting to the serious business of FUN! Tabitha decided to tempt the fates first.

Judah being silly. Though there’s no picture, he went swinging too.

Charity a bit more cautious, did try the swing once…and only once.

Mo and Mommy in the falls. Ahhhhhhhhhh!

Now, everyone into the creek. Watch out belooooooooooooooooooow.

A map of the Bull Creek Watershed, the Balcones Canyonlands Preserve, Bull Creek Greenbelt and District Park, and St. Edwards Park can be found here.
